Tracking down hidden collectibles across Yokohama is one of the most lucrative side activities in Yakuza Like a Dragon. Completing the Kappture the Kappa quest line offers Ichiban Kasuga a massive financial boost along with rare crafting items.
Starting the Part-Time Hero Quest
To unlock the Kappa statue search, players must reach Chapter 5 and activate the Part-Time Hero system. Speaking with Hiro triggers the quest line, requiring players to take in-game smartphone photos of ten distinct statues hidden around Ijincho.
While some statues sit out in the open, others require specific story progression before their locations open up. Keep in mind that photographing statues prior to unlocking the quest will not count toward your final completion total.
Finding Statues in Northern and Central Ijincho
In the northern region, head to the Mirai Batting Center and look behind the building near the northwest corner of the map. Nearby in Hamakita Park, a statue rests inside the white Hero's Harvest food truck parked close to the Dragon Kart area.
Moving toward central Ijincho, check the glass elevator located just west of Jinnai Station. Another statue sits hidden in a nook within Chinatown between two storefronts along the main commercial path.
Exploring Southern Districts and Hidden Spots
Near the river on South Sakura River Street, you can spot a statue right next to the young boy standing near the Can Quest area. On Sunrise Street, peer inside the window of a shop decorated with a green awning located near Ichiban's apartment.
Head over to the Bar District and walk upstairs inside Survive Bar to inspect the open cupboard on the top shelf. In the Red Light District, check behind the wire fence in the alleyway behind Love Magic.
Late-Game Locations and Quest Rewards
The remaining statues require story progress into Chapter 7 to access restricted zones. One statue is positioned on a second-floor balcony in Restaurant Row, while another is located on a balcony behind the Fukutokucho building in Korea Town.
Once all ten photographs are captured, visit any Part-Time Hero representative at a convenience store to claim your rewards. Players will receive a massive payout of two million yen alongside valuable items such as the Water God Amulet.
